SESEC participated in the joint Energy Working Group meeting, held on Wednesday, 17 June at the EU Delegation in Beijing.
At this meeting, Mr. Wolfgang Eichhammer, Head Competence Centre Energy Policy and Energy Markets, Fraunhofer Institute, gave a presentation on the German National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency (NAPE) as the German Government has set an ambitious national energy efficiency target by 2020 (reduction of 20% of primary energy consumption by 2020 in comparison with 2008 levels).
In October 2014 the German government has announced a variety of measures in the framework of the NAPE. Although those measures will not close the gap in the NAPE, they contain a variety of innovative measures. The measures are also intended to comply with Article 7 of the European Energy Efficiency Directive (EED).
