In April, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has officially issued the first informatization and industrialization integration standard of China as international standard: “Methodology for building digital capabilities in enterprises ‘digital transformation”. This international standard is based on the core achievement of the national standard “Basis and Terminology of Informatization and Industrialization Integrated Management System” (GB/T 23000-2017), “Requirements of Informatization and Industrialization Integrated Management System” (GB/T 23001-2017). It clarifies the connotation, characteristics and basic elements of integration, and puts forward the enterprise digital capacity building based on the basic framework of integration management system. The core concepts, key processes and main methods can provide guidance for enterprises to carry out technology application, process optimization and management change, and accelerate the digital transformation. According to statistics, nearly 14,000 enterprises in China have built new capabilities under the information environment based on the integration standard. The development level of integration has steadily improved, with an average decrease of 10.0% in operating costs and an average increase of 11.2% in operating profits. Representatives of relevant organizations and institutions from United Kingdom, United States, Japan, Spain, Egypt, Malaysia and other countries have paid extensive attention to and fully affirmed this international standard and provided support for its development.
