National standard on information technology: Chinese character encoding is being revised

The meeting on 18^th October of National information technology standardization technical committee (SAC/TC28) presented that the revision of GB 18030-2005 information technology: Chines character encoding had been technically approved on 18^th October.

SESEC views: GB18030 is one of the five mandatory national standards on information in Chinese and expected to be employed to software, hardware manufacturers and also news press.
